The pine nut is the seed of the Pinus Pinea devoid of husk testa or seed coat and intended for human consumption, excluding those treated pine, ie: roasted, salty, sweet, and so on. The pine nuts are to be normally developed; dry to the touch, not spongy; healthy and in particular free from mildew, rot, visible damage caused by remnants of tegument;no signs of germination;except from odor and/or taste.
