Description
As a Dispatcher, you would be a vital part of the team ensuring that our customers receive their product in a fast and professional manner. You would ensure that the trucks and employees have everything that they need to leave on time and that they are getting the job done in a fast and professional manner.
Core Responsibility:
- Schedule and dispatch trucks for timely deliveries to clients, ensuring optimal routes and efficient use of resources.
- Coordinate with drivers to provide accurate and up-to-date information on delivery schedules and any changes.
- Monitor and track the status of deliveries, addressing any issues that may arise, and providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to handle inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide exceptional service.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to prioritize and coordinate the loading of trucks based on delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including delivery times, delays, and any incidents, using our dispatch software.
- Continuously optimize delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with staffing agencies and truck rental agencies.
Qualification
Qualification:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Truck Dispatcher or in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with transportation and logistics software (e.g., GPS, dispatch software).
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and geography.
- Work a 4 AM to 1 PM Schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs.
- Knowledge of bakery products and their handling requirements is a plus.
